Job summary

MultiCare Yakima Memorial Hospital is seeking a Medical Technologist for evening shifts (2:30pm-11:00pm) with full-time schedule and alternating weekends. The role involves performing patient analytic laboratory testing, quality control, data analysis and reporting, along with instrument maintenance and troubleshooting.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or Sciences, with preferred Master’s degree and specialist certifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or Sciences (required).
• Master’s degree in Medical Technology (preferred).
• Certification for Medical Technologist, MLS (ASCP), or MT (ASCP), or AMT or MT (AAB) Specialist Certification in discipline (preferred).
• Specialist Hematology, SH (ASCP), Microbiology, SM (ASCP), Specialist BldBloodBanking, SBB (ASCP), Tech Chemistry, SC (ASCP) (preferred).

Responsibilities

• You will receive specimens, establish and maintain positive identification of specimens.
• You will determine suitability of specimen.
• You will acquire/prepare reagents as needed.
• You will perform instrument maintenance and calibration.
