Job description

Position Summary: The Medical Technologist is responsible for performing patient analytic laboratory testing, quality control, data analysis, results reporting, instrument maintenance and technical problem resolution. This position requires a service‑committed individual, detail oriented, able to perform complex data analysis, exercise sound independent judgment and demonstrate critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Receive specimens and establish and maintain positive identification of specimens.
• Determine suitability of specimen.
• Acquire and prepare reagents as needed.
• Perform instrument maintenance and calibration.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or Sciences (required).
• Master’s degree in Medical Technology (preferred).
• Certification for Medical Technologist, MLS (ASCP), or MT (ASCP), or AMT or MT (AAB).
• Specialist certification in discipline (preferred). Specialist Hematology, SH (ASCP); Microbiology, SM (ASCP); Specialist Blood Banking, SBB (ASCP); Tech Chemistry, SC (ASCP).

Benefits
