The Ohio Department of Behavioral Health (DBH) is hiring a Psychiatric/DD Nurse Supervisor in Northwest Ohio to lead nursing staff and ensure high-quality patient care in a behavioral health hospital setting in Toledo.

The role is full-time, with a 6:00 PM–6:30 AM shift, and involves administrative duties, rounds, and oversight of clinical operations. Commissioned pay steps and benefits apply. Apply through the State of Ohio.

Qualifications

• Must hold current license as registered professional nurse in Ohio.
• Minimum 24 months of psychiatric nursing experience or delivery of nursing services to persons with developmental disabilities.
• 3 months of training or 3 months of experience in employee training & development; 3 courses or 9 months in public relations; 3 courses or 9 months in counseling.

Responsibilities

• Provide general and direct supervision of nursing staff, ensuring adherence to standards of care.
• Conduct rounds in residential units and review nursing care plan documentation for accuracy.
• Review incident reports, codes, medication error reports, falls, and reports related to mechanical support devices or seclusion/restraint.
• Prepare and deliver written and verbal reports to Nurse Executives regarding clinical operations, staffing, and patient care issues.
• Serve as Administrator on Duty (AOD) for the facility during after-hours shifts as needed.
