Job summary

Golden West Packaging Group is seeking a 2nd Shift Production Supervisor in Oxnard, CA. The role focuses on safety, quality, and continuous improvement while leading a multi-department production team.

You will monitor performance, drive CI initiatives, and ensure timely production with cross-functional collaboration. The position requires strong supervisory skills, MS Office proficiency, and experience in high-volume manufacturing in a dynamic plant environment.

Qualifications

• 4 years supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment preferred or 5-years’ experience in manufacturing with supervisory experience will be considered.
• Proven track record of success managing a multi department production group.
• Mechanical aptitude and solid understanding of high volume fast paced manufacturing a must.
• Knowledge of flexo printing and die cut converting very helpful.
• Must have interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise yard personnel to meet or exceed safety, employee satisfaction, productivity, quality, and CI goals.
• Provide guidance to department personnel ensuring a safe work environment.
• Verify the quality of work through periodic monitoring and troubleshooting of processes.
• Support and participate in CI initiatives and cost-control efforts.
• Maintain production control records and inform management about schedules and issues.
• Train and develop department personnel and establish staffing levels.
• Coordinate with Plant Manager on equipment issues, repairs, and PMs with maintenance.
