Job summary

Ventura Coastal is seeking a hands-on Production Group Leader to support the Shift Supervisor and oversee daily production at the Visalia facility. You will promote a safe, efficient, and quality-focused environment while coaching staff on equipment operation and food safety procedures.

The role requires strong communication, manufacturing experience, and a commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Five (5) years of manufacturing experience, preferably in citrus, food, beverage, or related processing environments.
• Two (2) years of leadership or supervisory experience.
• Basic computer skills including touchscreen and production monitoring systems.
• Bilingual English/Spanish skills strongly preferred.
• Associate degree or additional technical training is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in leading and coordinating daily production activities to ensure safe, efficient, and quality-focused operations.
• Train and mentor employees on equipment operation, safety procedures, food safety requirements, and quality standards.
• Monitor production processes and identify opportunities for operational improvements.
• Communicate equipment issues, downtime, and non-standard operating conditions to management, along with recommended corrective actions.
• Verify production activities meet customer specifications and company quality standards.
• Complete production documentation, reports, and shift records accurately and timely.
