Job summary

Wise Foods is seeking a Process Operator for the 2nd shift (4pm-12am) with mandatory overtime. You will operate and maintain processing equipment to produce high-quality snacks safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities include changing lines, monitoring quality, running samples, and completing required paperwork. The role emphasizes adherence to GMP and GMP practices, daily communication with maintenance, QA, and supervision, and readiness to work overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• General education required.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and communication.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Advanced schooling preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain processing equipment to produce snacks safely and efficiently.
• Change processing machines (fryers) for different cuts as needed.
• Routinely change knives to maintain product quality.
• Monitor settings and adjust as necessary to meet specs.
• Check quality readings for salt, moisture, oil absorption, defects, and color.
• Run samples on incoming potato loads and monitor salt application machinery.
• Perform minor maintenance on systems and keep area clean and safe.
• Complete paperwork and communicate with other departments.
