Job summary

Herr Foods Inc. is seeking a 3rd Shift Process Operator for our Nottingham, PA facility. You will operate snack-food processing equipment, perform changeovers, and maintain ERP data records. The role requires lifting up to 50 pounds, working in a loud, fast-paced environment, and adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must complete a background and pre-employment drug screen.
• Preplacement screening to test ability to perform physical requirements.
• Good mechanical skill-related background preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Able to work with latex gloves, airborne seasoning, cardboard dust, cleaning solutions, and hot water.
• Able to work in a noisy and fast-paced environment with wet/humid conditions, extreme cold/heat, and moving parts.
• Balance on slippery surfaces; lift at least 21 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Operate potato chip fryers, dough mixers, and snack food processing equipment.
• Responsible for change over and set up of the mixing, cooking, and processing equipment.
• Cleaning machine parts after changeovers, discarding trash/waste, and monitoring tank levels as well as cleaning seasoning trays, floors, and ovens in the processing area.
• Records daily machine and process information such as batch counts, start & stop times, oil meter readings, waste recordings, and pounds of flour.
• Changes and maintains Urschel slicer heads to maintain quality and consistent slices.
• Ensure that manufacturing data is accurately entered and tracked in the ERP system, including production orders, materials, and finished goods.
• Update and maintain ERP records to reflect real-time data, including production status, material usage, and equipment maintenance.
• Enter production and manufacturing data into the ERP system, including raw material consumption, machine usage, labor hours, and quality control data.
• Track inventory levels in real-time and coordinate with the necessary teams to ensure timely material replenishment.
• Other ERP responsibilities and other duties as assigned.
