Barnes Jewish Hospital is seeking a Lab Associate in Phlebotomy to support patient care and operations through specimen collection and handling. The role emphasizes accurate patient identification and maintaining specimen integrity, with potential involvement in central processing, in-office phlebotomy, or inventory tasks.

Responsibilities include interpreting orders, processing tests in the system, and coordinating tasks during high workload or STAT situations.

Competenze

• Phlebotomy experience and specimen handling proficiency required or preferred.
• HS diploma or GED required; an Associate's degree is preferred.
• Prior experience in a clinical lab environment is advantageous.

• Interpret physician orders and place tests in the system.
• Perform phlebotomy with proper patient identification and specimen integrity.
• Sort and process lab specimens and manage related duties as assigned.
• Coordinate multiple tasks, including STAT orders and workload fluctuations.
