Job summary

Mason Street Grill in downtown Milwaukee is seeking a PM Prep Cook to support evening culinary operations. You will prepare ingredients and food items according to established recipes, quality standards, and production needs, ensuring the kitchen is stocked and prepared for dinner service.

This role emphasizes proper food safety, sanitation, and teamwork. You will expedite orders, assist junior team members, and uphold high standards in a fast-paced dining environment within Marcus Hotels &

Qualifications

• Previous cooking experience required; a minimum of 3 years in a similar position preferred.
• High school diploma preferred.
• Sufficient manual dexterity to use kitchen equipment.
• Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 100 pounds.
• Ability to stand long periods in a hot, noisy kitchen.
• Ability to obtain local or state sanitation/licensure as required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients and food items according to recipes and standards.
• Complete daily prep tasks to ensure readiness for dinner service.
• Wash, peel, cut, portion, marinate, and prep meats, seafood, vegetables, and sauces.
• Follow recipes, portion specs, and presentation standards for consistency.
• Label, date, rotate, and store products following FIFO and safety guidelines.
• Maintain proper food temperatures and sanitation throughout shifts.
• Communicate prep needs and shortages to chefs and line cooks.
• Keep prep stations and storage areas clean, organized, and stocked.
