Job summary

Sanford Health is seeking a kitchen aide at our Millard Center to assist the cook with patient and resident meals, cafeteria operations, and special functions. You will help prepare and serve meals, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.

The role supports food service for modified diets, handles basic food prep, and may involve room service and stock duties. A background in food service, ability to read and follow directions, and basic math skills are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read, write and follow oral and written directions.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Minimum of six months of applicable experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists the cook with production and service for patients/residents, cafeteria, vending and special functions.
• Prepares and assembles food items in a timely manner according to quality standards.
• May carry out floor stocking duties; may support all central kitchen positions and weigh ingredients.
• May gather requisitions for carts and shipments to all locations.
• May prepare salads, manage cafeteria register at lunch, provide room service and help with groceries.
