Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America in Utah seeks a PLC & Instrumentation Technician to install, monitor, and repair PLC devices, HMIs, and related instrumentation in our manufacturing plant. You will ensure equipment operates at peak efficiency with minimal downtime and provide guidance on complex tasks.

Qualifications

4 to 6 years of industrial maintenance electrical, PLC, or related experience
State certified electrician license and/or other applicable certifications may be required
High school diploma or equivalent; trade/technical school preferred in automation

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, repair, and adjust control systems including PLCs, HMIs, and field devices
Troubleshoot, repair, and adjust power and motor control systems and frequency drives
Locate, diagnose, and repair downtime-causing problems
Perform preventive/predictive maintenance to achieve near-zero downtime
Monitor PLC devices and systems for functionality
Test connections between PLC devices and other equipment
Maintain CMMS records and inventory accountability
Provide technical support and train team members
Follow safety and GMP requirements
