Dairy Challenge in Saint George, Utah is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform routine and emergency maintenance on production, processing, and packaging equipment, following all safety procedures. The role requires reading schematics, using hand and power tools, and supporting new equipment installations; strong English communication and ability to work with minimal supervision are essential.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Trade/technical school in electrical, PLC/HMI, mechanical, welding/fabrication, refrigeration, or plumbing preferred.
2–4 years maintenance, mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electronic, computer-controlled equipment, PLC, and HVAC experience.
Experience with ammonia refrigeration systems preferred.
Certification and/or License may be required during course of employment.

Responsibilities

Perform maintenance and/or repairs on production, processing, and packaging equipment and related systems.
Perform preventative maintenance and routine inspections of equipment for reliability and performance.
Read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, electrical schematics, service manuals, and work orders.
Support the installation of new equipment.
Assist operators with training or troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
Complete work orders accurately and on time.
Document repairs and required information per SOPs.
Stay up to date on new products, equipment, and techniques.
Identify opportunities to improve processes and parts planning.
Follow DFA GMP and safety regulations.
