Job summary

Labcorp in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team. You will provide skilled specimen collections and exceptional customer service, acting as the face of Labcorp to patients. The role offers opportunities for growth within the organization.

The position requires phlebotomy certification or training, a high school diploma, and flexibility to work the 2:00 PM–10:30 PM schedule with potential overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Phlebotomy certification or completion of a phlebotomy training program or 6 months of phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service skills preferred.
• Color vision/color blindness test may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Enter patient information accurately into data systems.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to patients.
• Perform administrative and clerical duties as needed.
• Travel to additional sites as required.
• Other duties as assigned.
