Job summary

Sonora Quest Laboratories seeks a phlebotomist for the Mesa, AZ area, evening shift, covering hospital facilities, PSC, IOP, or MDS locations. You will collect specimens, enter data, and prepare samples for analysis, distributing them to the appropriate analytic area.

The role involves pre- and post-analytical duties, adherence to policies, and potential work at multiple sites with flexible weekend/holiday coverage. Bilingual Spanish/English is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School diploma or equivalent as required by state regulations.
• Completion of a phlebotomy program or phlebotomy experience.
• Phlebotomy certification as defined by state regulations.
• Driver's license and eligibility for company auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Collect and receive biological specimens; ensure correct patient and specimen IDs.
• Enter patient demographics and orders into the system; verify data accuracy.
• Prepare samples for testing and transport; assist in processing as needed.
• Support workflow and training of new staff; participate in quality initiatives.
• Communicate professionally with customers; uphold privacy and HIPAA requirements.
