Job summary

Sonora Quest Laboratories is seeking a Phlebotomist to collect and process specimens across Hospital Facilities, PSCs, IOPs, or mobile services in Mesa, AZ. You will ensure correct patient and specimen identification, enter data into the system, and prepare samples for testing while maintaining quality and compliance.

The role covers various sites with evening shifts, alternating weekends/holidays, and opportunities to grow within the department; a strong focus on customer service and accuracy

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older and meet state requirements.
• High school diploma or equivalent per state regulations.
• Completion of phlebotomy program or phlebotomy experience.
• Phlebotomy certification as defined by state regulations.
• DHS Fingerprinting Certification or ability to obtain.
• Valid state driver’s license and eligibility for company auto insurance.
• Flexibility to travel among locations, including weekends/holidays/overtime.
• Career ladder progression through the department.

Responsibilities

• Collect and receipt of specimens and entry into the company system.
• Prepare samples for analytical testing and distribute to the correct area.
• Verify patient demographics, tests requested, and specimen integrity.
• Maintain quality by following procedures and HIPAA rules.
• Assist in training and monitor workflow where needed.

Skills
