Qualifications

• Phlebotomy certification required and completed phlebotomy program.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy program completion is preferred.
• Good reading, writing and math abilities.

Responsibilities

• Collect and process specimens ensuring correct patient identification and specimen integrity.
• Enter patient demographics, tests, and collection data into the LIS; verify accuracy.
• Prepare samples for testing and transport; assist in initial processing.
• Maintain quality, document clearly, and monitor productivity.
• Assist with supplies management and cost-reduction initiatives.
• Communicate professionally with internal and external customers; adhere to policies.
