Job summary

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy program completion or equivalent experience is required.
• Phlebotomy certification as defined by state regulations is required.
• Valid state driver’s license may be required depending on location and travel.
• Float positions may require travel to multiple locations and flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Perform specimen collection and general laboratory specimen processing.
• Enter and verify patient demographics, tests requested, and related data in the system; ensure accuracy.
• Prepare and label specimens for transport and initial processing; deliver to the appropriate lab area.
• Maintain quality by following procedures, documentation, and compliance standards.
• Support department cost-control efforts and participate in training and cross-training as needed.
