Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection per policies.
• Ensure positive patient identification using two identifiers.
• Prepare, package, and transport specimens maintaining integrity.
• Explain procedures to patients and address concerns.
• Sterilize and maintain phlebotomy equipment and workspace.
• Document patient and specimen data in the system.
• Collect timed specimens as ordered and manage workload.
• Collaborate with health-care team to resolve issues.
• Follow safety and regulatory standards.
