Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; graduate of Surgical Technology or LPN program.
• Surgical Tech Certification and 3 years of experience required; 7 years experience can substitute for certification (total 10 years).
• Current GA LPN License if applicable.
• Certification as a Surgical Technologist or Licensed as an LPN required; BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Facilitating patient care by assisting the physician during surgery in the Operating Room (OR) for multiple specialties.
• Functions as a clinical specialist across numerous service specialty lines under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
• Assumes additional responsibilities for maintaining surgical specialties as necessary and serves as a resource.
