Job summary

Memorial Hermann Sugar Land Hospital is seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager for Perioperative Services, evenings. Vets 3+ years in perioperative nursing with leadership experience to oversee OR, PACU, and Endoscopy operations and mentor staff.

BSN is required; MSN preferred if the bachelor’s is not in nursing. Texas license or compact license and BLS are mandatory. This role reports to Nursing leadership and participates in continuous quality improvement.

Qualifications

• BSN required; MSN preferred if the nominee's Bachelor’s degree is not in Nursing.
• Texas license or temporary/compact license to practice professional nursing required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• 3+ years of experience in perioperative nursing with demonstrable leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Assists with deployment of departmental goals that support the organization’s mission and values.
• Supports leadership with managerial duties and staff coordination.
• Manages day-to-day operations and staffing decisions within the unit.
• Coordinates care across units, nurses and providers to ensure quality patient outcomes.
• Provides mentorship and coaching to staff and drives quality improvement initiatives.
