Job summary

Memorial Hermann Sugar Land Hospital is a 179-bed, full-service acute care facility serving Fort Bend County and surrounding communities. This role supports the Nurse Manager in department leadership, oversees daily operations, staff development, and collaboration with interdisciplinary team to deliver quality patient care; 24/7 support as appropriate.

Hours: M-F 3p - 11p. Oversight: Day Surgery, OR, PACU and Endo.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred if not in nursing.
• TX license or temporary/compact license required.
• BLS certification required; clinical/management certification within one year.

Responsibilities

• Deploy departmental goals aligned to mission and values.
• Manage day-to-day operations and staff scheduling.
• Coordinate care between units, nurses and providers.
• Provide mentorship and staff development.
• Lead quality improvement initiatives and PI projects.
• Respond to emergencies and ensure patient care quality.
