Job summary

Memorial Hermann Health System is seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager for the Operating Room with weekend coverage in Houston. You will support the Nurse Manager by leading daily OR operations, coordinating staffing, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to deliver safe, high-quality care.

The role requires 3+ years in a perioperative setting, BLS, Texas RN license, and CNOR is preferred with a plan to obtain within one year if not certified.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing required; Master's preferred.
• CNOR certification preferred within one year of eligibility.
• Current Texas RN license and BLS required.
• 3+ years OR leadership or charge/coordination experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist Nurse Manager in leading daily OR operations and staff.
• Coordinate staffing, surgical workflow, and add-on cases.
• Mentor and coach staff; participate in PI and quality initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and safety protocols.
