Qualifications

• Must be in active recovery for a minimum of 3 years.
• CCAR or MDHHS Peer Recovery Coach certification required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills essential.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Understanding of recovery principles, harm reduction, trauma-informed care, and cultural competence.

Responsibilities

• Support clients in recovery and help set quarterly recovery goals and wellness plans.
• Assist clients in navigating treatment, housing, employment, and social services.
• Facilitate recovery-focused group discussions and one-on-one sessions.
• Collaborate with clinical staff, case managers, and other professionals to ensure coordinated care.
• Maintain documentation in EMR and ensure privacy standards are met.
• Participate in ongoing training and supervision to maintain certification.
• Meet required deadlines for services provided.
