Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Leominster, MA is hiring a Patient Care Technician I for 32 hours per week on the Evening shift. Under licensed clinicians, you will assist with daily living activities, vital signs, specimen collection, and basic nursing tasks in a high-demand hospital unit.

This non-exempt role requires a high school diploma or GED, Basic Life Support, English proficiency, and strong interpersonal skills. It offers on-site work, opportunities for growth, and a team-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school education or GED.
• Current Basic Life Support.
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English in a clear and concise manner.
• Medical Terminology knowledge.
• Computer skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Provides clear, timely communication to the RN regarding observations and changes in patients.
• Maintains patient safety and observes high-risk patients as assigned.
• Assists in daily living activities and proper patient positioning.
• Performs vital signs, height/weight measurements, and basic nursing tasks as directed.
• Assists with treatments and procedures preparing equipment and supplies.
