Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Leominster, MA is seeking a Patient Care Technician I/II to support licensed clinicians. You will observe patients, assist with daily living activities, and help maintain a safe, respectful environment while communicating findings to the RN and the care team.

The role requires BLS, basic computer skills, and strong English communication. The position is on-site, part-time, with a 12-hour night shift schedule and 36 total hours per week.

Qualifications

• High school education or GED required.
• Basic Life Support certification within 30 days.
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English clearly.
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of medical terminology.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to stay calm under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Provide clear, timely communication to the RN on patient observations and changes.
• Maintain constant observation of high-risk patients as assigned.
• Contribute to a safe environment and assist with de-escalation when needed.
• Assist patients with daily living activities including hygiene, ambulation, meals.
• Assist in moving, lifting, positioning and transporting patients using proper safety techniques.
