Job summary

Responsibilities include transporting patients, belongings, equipment and records, documenting activities, and communicating with clinical staff while complying with HIPAA and safety policies.

Qualifications

• Healthcare experience preferred.
• Basic Life Support certification within six weeks of hire.
• Proof of compliance with safety and privacy policies as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assumes responsibility for safe patient transport from pickup to delivery or discharge.
• Transports patients, belongings, equipment, supplies and medical records between departments.
• Transfers patients using appropriate equipment and assists with lifts as requested.
• Documents work activities in accordance with policy and procedure.
• Responds to patient requests and reports information to clinical staff for safety.
• Provides information to visitors, patients and staff as needed.
