Job summary

DHR Health in Edinburg, Texas is seeking an Evening Transport Associate to support Pre- and Post-Operative Departments by transporting and escorting patients, delivering specimens and equipment, and assisting clinical staff with safe transfer techniques. No prior experience is required; a High School Diploma or GED is preferred.

BLS/CPR certification must be completed within 90 days of hire. This role may require occasional errands outside the facility and adherence to patient confidentiality

Responsibilities

• Promotes the facility mission, vision and values by effectively communicating them to others. Considers mission, vision and values in developing services, standards and practices.
• Performs transport duties for the department as necessary.
• Establishes, maintains and revises record keeping and filing systems, ensuring confidentiality of information.
• Consistently is attentive to detail, when delivering paperwork.
• Distributes mail in a timely manner.
• Accepts and screens telephone calls and routes calls appropriately; promptly and graciously responds to calls and visitors and determines the urgency of the situation; suggests appropriate referrals or informs management when the situation warrants immediate attention.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
