Job summary

Memorial Healthcare System is seeking a dedicated transporter to move patients and equipment throughout the facility, ensuring safe and timely transitions. The role supports patient comfort and staff needs while adhering to safety protocols.

Responsibilities include assisting patients entering/exiting vehicles, supporting lift assists, delivering equipment, and guiding visitors. Shift: Evenings; no prior experience required but basic safety awareness is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS Certification required within 30 days of hire (American Heart Association).
• Excellent communication and patient-facing skills required.

Responsibilities

• Transports patients, and equipment throughout the facility.
• Assists patients with entering and exiting vehicles, wheelchairs, or stretchers.
• Assists staff with lift assists and repositioning of patients.
• Delivers equipment to requesting staff or department.
• Greets and provides information and direction to patients and visitors.
• Transports patients to designated sites, including those with oxygen tanks and IVs.
