Job summary

Virtua Health in Voorhees Township, NJ seeks a Registrar to gather and enter patient demographic information into the hospital system and verify data accuracy. You will verify benefits, obtain authorizations, and collect payments, acting as the first point of contact with patients and delivering strong customer service.

The role requires 1 year of professional customer service experience, good communication skills, and basic typing and computer skills. Epic system experience is highly preferred.

Qualifications

• 1 year customer service in a professional setting preferred.
• Must demonstrate a positive demeanor, strong verbal and written communication.
• Must handle potentially stressful situations and multiple tasks.
• Must have basic typing, computer and/or word processing skills.
• One year of Epic system experience highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Enter demographic, financial, insurance, and clinical information into the system; verify completeness.
• Obtain signatures on consent, medical necessity, and regulatory documentation; process paperwork.
• Collect and process co-pays, deductibles, co-insurance and deposits; liaise on billing issues.
• Identify referrals and payment options for financial assistance.
• Provide office support including telephones, scheduling, typing, filing.
