Job summary

St. Joseph’s Health in Wayne, NJ, is seeking a Patient Care Associate for the full-time 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM Float Pool.

On-site role assisting patients with daily living activities, providing basic care to acutely ill patients, and performing EKGs and venipuncture under RN supervision. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, BLS within 6 months, and PCA/PCT or CNA credentials or enrollment in nursing school with relevant coursework.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• BLS certification within 6 months of hire.
• PCA/PCT diploma or CNA certification or enrollment in nursing program with relevant coursework.
• Evidence of nursing fundamentals coursework or CNA training may be acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living.
• Provide basic care to acutely ill patients.
• Perform EKGs and venipuncture as directed by RN.
• Maintain safe and clean environment.
