Job summary

St. Joseph's Health in Paterson, NJ is seeking a Patient Care Associate for the Med/Surg/Float Pool. You will assist patients with daily living activities, provide basic care to acutely ill patients, and maintain a safe, clean environment.

EKGs and venipuncture are performed under RN supervision. Qualifications include a high school diploma, BLS within 6 months, and a PCA/PCT diploma or CNA certification. Experience in healthcare settings is valued and numerous benefits are offered to full-time

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• BLS certification within 6 months of hire.
• PCA/PCT diploma or CNA certification or NHCA credential.
• Enrolled in nursing school or completed Nursing Fundamentals coursework.
• Evidence of PCA/PCT or home health aide experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living.
• Provide basic care to acutely ill patients.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment.
• Perform EKGs and venipuncture as directed by RN.
