Job summary

Winchester Hospital, part of Beth Israel Lahey Health, seeks a Clinical Associate to support patient care with defined duties and an 3 evening shifts/week schedule, every other weekend and holiday rotations.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, BLS, and one of: CNA, nursing student with clinical rotation, or three months of clinical care experience; strong English communication and basic computer skills preferred.

Qualifications

• Reading, writing and speaking English clearly to communicate with patients and staff.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or nursing student with clinical rotation is acceptable.
• Three months of clinical care experience or completion of CATP.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with activities of daily living
• Repositioning and ambulating patients
• Making occupied and unoccupied beds
• Assisting in transporting patients, beds, supplies and equipment
• Collecting, labeling and transporting specimens
• Retrieving and signing out blood products
• Accurately performs point of care testing
• Obtains vital signs and weights
• Maintains intake and output measurements
• Removes Foley catheters and saline locks
