Job summary

Winchester Hospital, part of Beth Israel Lahey Health, is hiring a Clinical Associate for 24 hours per week. Under a nurse’s direction, you’ll help patients with daily living activities, assist in mobility, beds, and transport, and perform point-of-care tests.

English communication and basic computer skills are essential. Requirements include high school diploma or equivalent, BLS, and CNA or nursing student with clinical rotation experience.

Qualifications

• Education: high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• Must be a CNA, or a nursing student with one med-surg clinical rotation, or completed CATP.
• Minimum of three months clinical care experience preferred.
• Effective reading, writing and English communication within a hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living for patients.
• Reposition and ambulate patients and make beds.
• Support patient transports and handling of supplies/equipment.
• Collect, label and transport specimens; obtain vital signs and weights.
• Perform basic point-of-care testing and monitor intake/output.
