Job summary

Atlantic Health Morristown Medical Center in Morristown, NJ is seeking a Patient Access Representative I for the evening shift (1:00 PM–9:00 PM) with every-other weekend rotation. The role focuses on patient registration, information collection, and coordination with payers to resolve accounts.

Responsibilities include verification of patient data, collection of co-pays, obtaining necessary authorizations, and ensuring HIPAA compliance across settings.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 0–3 years in Patient Access, Medical Office, Health Insurance, or related area.
• Bachelor's degree in Business or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and verify patient information for registration.
• Coordinate with third-party payers to determine reasons for outstanding claims and facilitate payment.
• Request payment of financial dues from patient or guarantor.
• Obtain required consents in a timely manner.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance in various patient settings.
