Job summary

Tufts Medicine is seeking a Part-Time Patient Service Representative I for the Tewksbury Urgent Care location. You will work evenings (Tue–Fri 3:00 PM–8:00 PM) and alternating weekends (4:00 PM–8:00 PM). Onsite at Tewksbury Urgent Care, training occurs during daytime hours.

Responsibilities include patient registration, financial clearance, and coordinating with care teams. The role emphasizes accurate data collection, insurance verification, and patient billing support within a revenue cycle

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of experience in customer service setting, hospital registration, medical office, insurance, etc.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong data entry and computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Interview inpatients and outpatients to obtain accurate registration data.
• Verify insurance eligibility and collect patient financial information.
• Explain patient financial responsibilities and payment options.
• Post payments and ensure accuracy of postings.
• Coordinate with physicians and staff to schedule services.
• Maintain HIPAA-compliant handling of patient information.
