Job summary

Kennedy University Hospitals, Inc. is seeking a Patient Access Representative for the Stratford ED to join our evening shift (3P-11:30P).

The role focuses on accurate registration, demographic and insurance data collection, and verifying coverage using Real Time Eligibility systems. You will support patients and families with compassion and maintain compliance and high-quality service across outpatient and ED registrations.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or GED; an Associate degree is preferred.
• Hospitals/healthcare registration experience is desirable.
• Experience with front-desk patient registration and insurance verification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Gathers demographic and insurance information from patients and families.
• Verifies insurance coverage and benefits; collects out-of-pocket amounts.
• Retrieves orders and confirms medical necessity for outpatient visits.
• Registers patients and assigns or verifies medical record numbers.
• Interviews patients to complete Medicare Secondary Payer questionnaires as needed.
• Rotates through registration areas within Patient Access and ED.
