Job summary

Nationwide Children’s Hospital is seeking a dedicated Patient Access Representative to greet and register patients, answer calls, and schedule appointments at the Main Campus. The role includes pulling and filing charts and ensuring accurate demographic and insurance data.

Essential duties include verifying eligibility, communicating requirements, and guiding patients on financial assistance when applicable.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients.
• Answer telephone calls and schedule appointments.
• Pull and filing medical charts as indicated.
• Ensure patient demographics and insurance information are accurate.
• Screen patients for insurance eligibility and pre-certification requirements.
• Identify self-pay patients and refer to financial assistance when applicable.
• Coordinate with departments and clinical staff to maintain open communication.
• Assist in shadowing/precepting new employees.
