Job summary

Trinity Health's Saint Francis Hospital in Wilmington, DE, seeks a Patient Access Rep to serve as the first point of contact for patients, handling outpatient and inpatient registration with a focus on accuracy and friendly service.

This part-time, evening-shift role includes weekend/holiday rotations, EPIC EMR work, insurance verification, and up-front collections, offering exposure to the patient access career path and a supportive team.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• At least 1 year of experience in hospital admissions, business office or physician's office.
• Knowledge of EPIC EMR.
• Knowledge of insurance verification preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Medical Terminology required.
• HFMA CRCR or NAHAM CHAA within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs outpatient and inpatient registration functions.
• Provides general information to hospital users, patients and families.
• Ensures that patients meet financial requirements.
• Provides excellent patient-focused customer service.
• Communicates effectively to service delivery areas to maximize patient flow and customer service.
