Job summary

St. Luke's University Health Network is seeking a Pathologist Assistant to perform gross descriptions and dissections of surgical specimens, assist in autopsies, and organize conference material.

The role includes mentoring residents and handling multiple tasks with flexibility. The candidate should hold a science-related Bachelor's degree and ASCP certification (or equivalent experience), and be qualified to perform high-complexity testing under CLIA regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a science-related field and ASCP certification or 3 years' experience in pathology preferred.
• Qualified to perform high complexity testing under CLIA regulations with formal training.
• Completion of a formal pathologists' assistant training program or OTJ training with ASCP certification or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and performs examinations of surgical specimens.
• Uses voice-activated transcription to dictate gross descriptions.
• Assists in post-mortem examinations.
• Mentors residents and students.
• Handles multiple assignments and adapts to changes.
