Job summary

Nebraska Medicine is seeking a part-time Medical Receptionist for Immediate Care Clinics to greet patients at the check-in desk and on the phone. You will register patients, check them in/out, and schedule appointments using standard protocols.

This role supports clinics open seven days a week with evening hours (5pm–9pm). Ideal candidates have strong customer service, professional communication, and organizational skills, plus the ability to work discreetly with physicians, staff, and patients.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent completed required.
• Demonstrated ability to provide a high level of customer service to physicians, patients and other customers.
• Ability to work professionally with physicians, clinic staff and patients in a timely, confidential manner.
• Demonstrated analytical, prioritization and organizational skills.
• Effective communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients in person at the check-in desk or via the telephone.
• Answer incoming calls in a professional manner and register or check in/out patients.
• Schedule patient appointments using established protocols.
• Provide timely, confidential information and coordinate with clinic staff.
• Support Immediate Care Clinics that operate seven days a week, 5pm–9pm shifts.
