Job summary

Pima Medical Institute in San Antonio is seeking a knowledgeable Medical Front Office Instructor for evenings to educate adult learners in medical office management and billing. This part-time role involves teaching Tuesday and Thursday evenings (10 hours/week) on-site, using real-world experience to prepare students for healthcare administration careers.

You will deliver engaging lessons, assess progress, and ensure compliant record-keeping and HIPAA practices in a supportive classroom

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Healthcare Administration program with 3+ years of healthcare administration experience.
• Four+ years of job-related training/experience for non-graduates in healthcare administration.
• Active credential required in healthcare administration (e.g. CMAA, CBCS, CEHRS, RMA).
• In-depth proficiency with Microsoft Office and EHR platforms.

Responsibilities

• Deliver evening instruction and engage adult learners in core topics.
• Facilitate courses on Medical Office Management, Insurance Billing and Coding, and EHR.
• Plan lessons that accommodate varied learning styles and foster inclusion.
• Provide hands-on learning via simulations and guest speakers.
• Assess student performance, provide feedback, and tutor when needed.
• Maintain accurate attendance and grade records; ensure HIPAA compliance.
• Enforce campus safety standards and professional ethics in class.
