Job summary

Pima Medical Institute in San Antonio is seeking a General Education Instructor for the on-site campus to teach foundational general education courses. This part-time role offers 20 hours per week with a day shift, delivering courses that build essential academic, scientific, and communication skills for future healthcare professionals.

The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in a related field, teaching credentials preferred, and strong communication skills to mentor adult

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Biological Sciences, Communications or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Demonstrated subject matter knowledge in general education areas.
• Teaching credential (Secondary or Adult Education) preferred.
• Minimum of one year of classroom teaching experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver lectures and coursework across foundational subjects (e.g., Algebra, Anatomy & Physiology, Communications, Psychology, Medical Terminology).
• Design instructional methods for diverse adult learners and inclusive classrooms.
• Collaborate with Academic Program Directors to review materials and ensure alignment.
