Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program (or equivalent recognized training).
• Minimum of three (3) years of full-time practical work experience as a Medical Assistant.
• Active, unencumbered CMA or RMA national credential.
• Applicable Texas licensure or registrations as required by state law.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and online communication tools.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging evening lectures and hands-on lab training in medical assisting skills, clinical procedures, and healthcare administrative methods.
• Maintain an 80%+ student success rate by providing targeted academic counseling, early intervention alerts, and scheduled student support hours.
• Grade student assignments, lab competencies, and exams within 72 hours, offering constructive feedback to drive professional growth.
• Track daily attendance, report consecutive student absences, maintain accurate grade books, and log behavioral or academic incidents promptly.
• Organize hands-on enrichment activities, including guest speakers, clinic field trips, and community service initiatives.
• Participate in campus faculty meetings, in-service workshops, professional development, and graduation ceremonies.
• Enforce campus safety guidelines, OSHA/HIPAA protocols, and professional workplace standards across all instruction.
