Catholic Charities of New York is seeking an ESOL-Workforce Development Instructor to design and deliver contextualized healthcare ESOL for adult learners at our International Center-ESOL. The role focuses on English for healthcare work and prepares learners for Home Health Aide training.

The position is part-time, mainly Monday–Thursday 5–9:30 pm at 80 Maiden Lane, with potential weekend hours. Salary ranges $38.00–$39.00 per hour, with duties including curriculum, student support, and data

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education, ESOL or related field; Masters preferred.
• Experience with multi-level adult ESOL learners in diverse contexts.
• Familiar with remote and hybrid learning platforms.
• Experience with BEST Plus 3.0 preferred.
• Experience with diverse cultural backgrounds.
• Community outreach experience a plus.

Responsabilités

• Design nine-week contextualized healthcare ESOL courses focused on English to work as a Home Health Attendant.
• Hold weekly office hours; track student progress and goals.
• Participate in professional development and meetings.
• Monitor attendance and assist with reporting for funders.
• Provide administrative support and substitute as needed.
