Job summary

Legends Global is seeking a Second Shift Operations Coordinator for Maggie Daley Park in Chicago, IL. You will act as MOD during evenings and weekends, overseeing safety, guest service, and daily park operations while managing the Rock-Climbing Wall and Ice-Skating Ribbon.

You will train staff, coordinate with park partners, monitor safety, handle incidents, and ensure clean, well-maintained facilities. This full-time role requires 2–4 years in operations and flexible availability.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in operations, recreation, facility management, or similar field.
• Supervisory experience with part-time or seasonal staff.
• CPR/First Aid certification required or ability to obtain certification upon hire.
• Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, and evenings.
• Ability to work flexible shifts.
• Familiarity with climbing wall safety and ice rink operations is a plus.
• Preferred to have Zamboni experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist Maggie Daley Park Manager with interviews, hiring and scheduling of seasonal staff.
• Coordinate with park stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and strong communication.
• Train new hires on procedures, safety protocols and customer service.
• Lead an inclusive, positive work environment and enforce standards.
• Oversee safety checks and incident reporting for climbing wall and rink.
• Monitor equipment and coordinate maintenance with managers and vendors.
• Serve as on-site leadership during operating hours and handle guest concerns.
• Plan seasonal transitions and oversee staff coverage and guest experience.
