Job summary

Legends Global seeks a Second Shift Operations Coordinator at Maggie Daley Park in Chicago to oversee all second-shift operations, manage two attractions, and lead part-time staff. The role reports to the park manager and functions as MOD during evenings and weekends, ensuring safety, guest experience, and seamless daily operations.

You will train staff, enforce safety procedures, and coordinate with park stakeholders to maintain high service standards across climbing and ice activities.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in operations, recreation, facility management, or similar field.
• Supervisory experience with part-time or seasonal staff.
• CPR/First Aid certification required or ability to obtain certification upon hire.
• Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, and evenings.
• Familiarity with climbing wall safety and ice rink operations is a plus.
• Preferred to have Zamboni experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist Manager with interviews, hiring and scheduling of seasonal staff.
• Coordinate with park stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and communication.
• Train new hires on SOPs, safety protocols, and customer service expectations.
• Lead a positive, inclusive work environment and ensure standards are met.
• Oversee safety checks of climbing wall, harnesses, belay systems, ice rink, and playground.
• Manage incident reports and maintenance coordination with vendors.
• Serve as on-site leadership representative during operating hours.
• Address guest concerns promptly and professionally.
• Plan seasonal transitions (skating to climbing).
