Job summary

Nova Center of the Ozarks is seeking a part-time Direct Care staff member in Springfield, MO to provide support under the supervision of the Developmental Disabilities Professional (DDP).

The role trains clients in developing independent living skills, follows program plans, and records data on assigned programs. Evening and overnight availability are required. The hourly wage is $22.00, with potential for full-time hours over time.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Working towards a BA/BS in human services preferred.
• Experience working with developmentally disabled persons considered.
• CPR, First Aid, Mandt and Medication Administration certification or ability to obtain.
• Must be able to stand, stoop, lift up to 50 pounds and operate a vehicle safely.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Follow Nova Center of the Ozarks policies and procedures.
• Become certified in CPR, First Aid, Medication Administration, Mandt and other required trainings.
• Submit background check and drug test as required.
• Keep accurate records and logs for each client’s program goals and health needs.
• Assist residents with independent living tasks and daily living activities.
• Support clients in attending appointments and maintaining a clean, safe environment.
