Job summary

Bickford Senior Living is seeking a Caregiver Assistant to support residents with daily living activities, ensuring comfort and dignity. The role covers evening, overnight, and full-time or part-time shifts, with compassionate care at the forefront.

Responsibilities include assisting with ADLs, meals, and social engagement, and communicating changes in resident needs to branch leadership. CPR/First Aid and CNA pursuit are preferred, with state-specific training encouraged.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; or one year related experience.
• Willing to successfully complete the Certified Nurse Aide course within six months.
• Willing to take additional training or education as states may require.
• CPR and First Aid certifications required or willingness to obtain certification.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Written and verbal communication skills.
• Organizational and time management skills.
• Good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Know the residents you serve, providing care based on their service plans.
• Assist in all aspects of a resident’s daily life, including activities of daily living, meal service, and social engagement.
• Appropriately communicate with branch clinical leadership when a resident’s needs change.
• Knowledge of how to approach and care for residents with dementia.
