Job summary

Bickford Senior Living is seeking a Caregiver Assistant to support resident care in the branch, ensuring daily needs are met with compassion and dignity so residents can live life to the fullest. You will assist with activities of daily living, meals, social engagement, and communicate with branch leadership as needs change.

A High School Diploma or GED is required, and you must be willing to complete a Certified Nurse Aide course within six months of hire; CPR/First Aid certifications are

• CPR and First Aid certifications required or willingness to obtain certification.
• High School Diploma or GED; or one-year related experience.
• Willing to complete the Certified Nurse Aide course within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Know the residents you serve, providing care based on their service plans.
• Assist in all aspects of a resident’s daily life, including activities of daily living, meal service, and social engagement.
• Appropriately communicate with branch clinical leadership when a resident’s needs change.
• Knowledge of how to approach and care for residents with dementia.
