Job summary

Danvers High School in Danvers, MA is seeking an Outdoor Track and Field Assistant Coach for after-school/evening duties. The role reports to the Athletic Director and focuses on organizing a strong program while promoting academic achievement and positive conduct among student-athletes.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the sport to be coached.
• Previous coaching experience preferred.
• Ability to follow MIAA Rules and coaching ethics.
• Citizenship, residency or work visa requirement.

Responsibilities

• Organize, coordinate and promote a comprehensive track program.
• Provide leadership fostering academic achievement and sportsmanship.
• Ensure compliance with MIAA rules and district policies.
• Manage uniforms, equipment and facilities, including finances as needed.
• Communicate expectations to players and parents, and monitor attendance and conduct.
• Supervise and ensure safety during practices and events.
• Assist scheduling contests and perform other duties as assigned.
